This Fall, we launched a brand-new program called LTeen Connects. This will be a group of ‘clubs’ or ‘programs’ made especially for 8th and 9th graders to do all sorts of great activities, learning, and social action.

The best part of LTeen Connects is that with your 8th or 9th grade LTRS registration, you are free to choose! It is now up to you to decide what you want to do, and how you want to take that next step as a teen at Larchmont Temple. Whether you pick one group or all 14 offerings, there will be something for you!

Rosh Hodesh: Powered by Moving Traditions (8th-9th Grade Girls) - Sarah Miller

Tuesday Evenings: January 9, February 6, March 6, April 10, May 8, 6:30 - 8 pm (with Dinner)

Rosh Hodesh is an experiential education program currently touching the lives of 3,500 girls across North America. Through discussion, arts & crafts, creative ritual, games, and drama, the girls and their leaders draw on Jewish values and a gender lens to explore the issues the girls care about most, such as body image, friendship, relationships, family, competition, and stress.

Rosh Hodesh was developed by educators, rabbis, social workers, and psychologists to address the real needs of teen girls within a rich Jewish context. It was the first program to draw on Jewish teachings and traditions to keep girls healthy and whole, instilling in them the ability to counter narrow views of gender in popular culture.

Rosh Hodesh meets once per month from 6:30-8:30pm on 10/3, 11/7, and 12/5 (with dinner).

All female identifying 8th and 9th graders at LT are elgible!
