Music of Shabbat

Abraham Joshua Heschel wrote…

”The ultimate is God and the medium in which (God’s) guidance has been conveyed to us is the word…all we have are words in the liturgy and reverence in our hearts…It is the task of music to bring them together.”

Larchmont Temple is blessed with a long and beautiful musical tradition. Our Shabbat services are heimisch and participatory. Our goal is to appeal to all by offering various service choices as well as a balance of musical styles. We strive to enhance Shabbat with the broad selection of melodies that the Reform movement offers, adding a hint of the melodies you grew up with and moments of our glorious cantorial tradition.

Each Shabbat is an opportunity to create community, connecting to God and one another in song.
