Jane Sable-Friedman

Executive Director


Jane Sable-Friedman was born in New York and moved to Israel as a young child with her family. She was raised on Kibbutz Cabri in the Western Galilee. Jane graduated from Bar-Ilan University with a bachelors degree in Political Science and from the Haifa University with a Masters Degree in Cultural Geography. While in Israel, Jane was involved in Kibbutz Management and Culture Administration. She worked together with one of the most influential Israeli Artistic Directors to open a fringe theater school and create an experimental theater.

Jane moved back to the USA in 2004 with her family and became the Executive Director at Temple Adat Shalom in Poway, CA and then in 2010 became the Executive Director of Temple Beth El, Jewish Community Center in Aptos, CA. Jane received her FTA (Fellow in Temple Administration) from NATA and has held various leadership positions on the NATA Board.

Rabbi Eve Rudin

Senior Director of Education, Youth and Families


Prior to joining the Larchmont Temple team, Rabbi Rudin served as the Director of the Congregational School at Park Avenue Synagogue in New York City, the Director of Camp Excellence and Advancement at the Foundation for Jewish Camp, and served as the Director of NFTY (North American Federation of Temple Youth) and the URJ Kutz Camp for Reform Jewish teens for the URJ (Union for Reform Judaism). A product of the Reform Jewish movement, Eve graduated with a B.A. in Near Eastern and Judaic Studies from Brandeis University and was awarded a Wexner Graduate Fellowship during her rabbinic studies at HUC-JIR where she was ordained in May 2000. Her undergraduate and graduate thesis work focused upon youth movements and camping, and she has spoken and presented at numerous conferences on experiential Jewish education, camping, faith development, and youth mentorship.

Hannah Boronski

Assistant KESHER Director


A Massachusetts native, Hannah comes to Larchmont Temple after a stint in Boston, MA as the Director of Education at Temple Beth Avodah of Newton. She spent the decade prior to that living in Israel, working at a gan (preschool) in Jerusalem, and teaching at both Heller High and Alexander Muss High School in Israel. During the summers, she worked guiding teens around the country on NFTY Summer, teaching Jewish history and traveling the land of Israel. Passionate about Jewish humor, food, and education, Hannah is delighted to be joining the Larchmont KESHER team! Lucy Sliter

Lucy Sliter carries a strong background in philanthropy and development, spending her career connecting individuals to purpose-driven missions and creating meaningful experiences that foster belonging and generosity. She has worked at leading institutions like RWJ University Hospital Foundation and JCC Brooklyn, and is also the co-founder of Arca Beta, a nonprofit initiative focused on edtech solutions and social impact in Peru. Her work spans local and global communities, always grounded in empathy, equity, and a belief in the power of connection. Lucy is passionate about relationship-building, community engagement, and planning dynamic events that bring mission and community to life. After six years in Brooklyn, she and her husband are excited to be Westchester residents, and she is thrilled to be part of the Larchmont Temple community. Daniyel Berchenko

B’nai Mitzvah Specialist


Daniyel is deeply passionate about crafting Jewish experiences that give people a sense of belonging to community, heritage and tradition. He believes in the power of rites of passage work and loves working with a Jewish map to help guide youth across the threshold from childhood to adolescence. Daniyel has worked as a Jewish educator in various roles over the past ten years: as a prayerbook Hebrew teacher, B’nai Mitzvah tutor, camp counselor, teen leadership program coordinator, and youth rites of passage mentor. He has traveled extensively through Eastern Europe tracing his Ashkenazi Jewish roots and has guided others in their own journeys of ancestral reclamation. He spent two years deeply immersed in Torah study at the Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies in Jerusalem. Prior to his life as a Jewish educator, Daniyel worked in the field of environmental and climate justice advocacy. He has a B.S. in Environmental Science and Policy. Alongside serving as the B’nai Mitzvah Program Specialist at Larchmont Temple, Daniyel is concurrently a rabbinical student in the ALEPH Ordination Program. dberchenko@larchmonttemple.org

Matt Pearlman

Youth Engagement Coordinator


Originally from Lexington, MA, Matt Pearlman is a member of Temple Isaiah and an alumnus of their youth group, LEFTY. While in high school, he also worked in the temple's offices. Through these experiences, he learned to cherish the opportunity to be more connected to the community and quickly discovered his love for the Reform temple environment. Matt recently graduated from Skidmore College. While serving as chair of the college’s Student Events Council (for over two years) he programmed large-scale events. He spent his summers as the head programmer at the summer camp he attended as a child. His passion for event programming began in LEFTY, where he served as the programming VP during his senior year of high school. Among his favorite events he organized was the Halloween-themed event called "Scooby Jew." He also put together "Camp LEFTY", an online color war designed to connect teens during the onset of COVID. Matt looks forward to continuing the traditional LarFTY events while creating new ones that reflect the interests of the teens. Matt is also eager to work with all age groups in KESHER and with the madrichim. He looks forward to bringing a sense of community, connection, and fun to all the youth at Larchmont Temple.

Justin Bischof

Musical Director and Accompanist Services


Justin Bischof is one of the most eclectic artists of his generation.  He is an internationally acclaimed orchestral & opera conductor as well as concert organist, pianist and improviser. He has performed in some of the world’s great venues including Carnegie Hall, Eli Broad Theatre, Notre Dame Paris and Royal Opera House Muscat.  He is the Music Director & Conductor/Founder of the Modus Operandi Orchestra MOO of New York City that is comprised of 65 of NYC’s finest professional orchestral musicians.  He has collaborated with some of the world’s most prominent artists including Joshua Bell, Tan Dun and Roberta Peters. He was worked with numerous ensembles including National Arts Center Orchestra, The Ensemble Orchestral de Paris, Vancouver Symphony, the Royal Symphony of Oman, and the WAAPA orchestra in Perth Australia.

Laura Schreiber

Director of Early Childhood


Laura grew up in Larchmont and is very excited to be back in her hometown! After graduating from Washington University in St. Louis, Laura earned a dual Master's Degree in Early Childhood General and Special Education from Bank Street College of Education. From 2006 to 2019, Laura was a kindergarten teacher at The Town School in NYC. In her time at Town, Laura also directed SummerSault, a camp for children ages 3 to 6, served on scheduling and faculty committees, and facilitated diversity workshops. Laura lives in Larchmont with her husband and son, She looks forward to meeting everyone and is excited to join such a warm and welcoming community! Debbie Cohen

LTNS Associate Director


Debbie is excited to join the team at LTNS! With a strong background in education and administration, she is enthusiastic about bringing her love of early childhood education and her “process over product” mentality to LTNS. Most recently, Debbie was the Site Director of the JCCMW Nursery School in White Plains. Before that, she worked as a preschool teacher at the ECC at the Community Synagogue of Rye. Additionally, Debbie taught at a private school in Manhattan for children with learning differences and spent several summers working at sleepaway and day camps. Debbie holds a degree in psychology from The Ohio State University and an MS in special education from Hunter College. She currently resides in Rye, NY, with her three children. Lisa is from Riverdale in the Bronx and is joining the LT Nursery School administrative team after working in office administration and customer care. She is inspired by working in a diverse community environment and has been a long-time volunteer for the Sargeants Benevolent Association. Shara Kimmel

Finance Manager


Shara Kimmel joined the finance team at Larchmont Temple in 2018. She is a CPA, starting her career in audit. For the last 12 years Shara was the Controller of a mid-sized digital marketing agency. As the Treasurer of Community Synagogue, where she is a member and sits on the board, she has a broad understanding of Temple finances, and looks forward to bringing that experience to the community of Larchmont Temple. She lives in Rye Brook with her husband, Michael, their two daughters, Rebecca and Abby, and their Yorkie-Poo, Augie.
