Jane Sable-Friedman

Executive Director


Jane Sable-Friedman was born in New York and moved to Israel as a young child with her family. She was raised on Kibbutz Cabri in the Western Galilee. Jane graduated from Bar-Ilan University with a bachelors degree in Political Science and from the Haifa University with a Masters Degree in Cultural Geography. While in Israel, Jane was involved in Kibbutz Management and Culture Administration. She worked together with one of the most influential Israeli Artistic Directors to open a fringe theater school and create an experimental theater.

Jane moved back to the USA in 2004 with her family and became the Executive Director at Temple Adat Shalom in Poway, CA and then in 2010 became the Executive Director of Temple Beth El, Jewish Community Center in Aptos, CA. Jane received her FTA (Fellow in Temple Administration) from NATA and has held various leadership positions on the NATA Board.

Rabbi Eve Rudin

Director of Education,
Youth and Families


Prior to joining the Larchmont Temple team, Rabbi Rudin served as the Director of the Congregational School at Park Avenue Synagogue in New York City, the Director of Camp Excellence and Advancement at the Foundation for Jewish Camp, and served as the Director of NFTY (North American Federation of Temple Youth) and the URJ Kutz Camp for Reform Jewish teens for the URJ (Union for Reform Judaism). A product of the Reform Jewish movement, Eve graduated with a B.A. in Near Eastern and Judaic Studies from Brandeis University and was awarded a Wexner Graduate Fellowship during her rabbinic studies at HUC-JIR where she was ordained in May 2000. Her undergraduate and graduate thesis work focused upon youth movements and camping, and she has spoken and presented at numerous conferences on experiential Jewish education, camping, faith development, and youth mentorship.

Yael Greene

Youth Engagement And KESHER Program Coordinator


Yael Greene received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Religious Studies at Regis University in Denver, Colorado, where she was awarded the John Henry Newman Award for Excellence in Religious Studies and the Ignatian Scholarship Award in Religious Leadership. She committed toward interfaith programming with her peers and with the University of Denver Hillel as their Music Intern. Her deep connection to Jewish life stems from her involvement in the North American Federation of Temple Youth (NFTY), URJ Camp Coleman, URJ Kutz Camp, and her semester abroad program at the University of Haifa International School in Israel. She will be continuing her camp engagement as the Songleader at URJ 6 Points Sports Academy over the summer.

Lexi Weakly

Music and T’filah Coordinator


Lexi Weakley is extremely passionate about all aspects of Jewish music, education and leadership, as she has worked in the temple setting since age 13. Growing up in Los Angeles, CA, she worked as a cantorial substitute and religious school songleader at Temple Judea in Tarzana, CA. Lexi moved to Boston to attend Berklee College of Music in 2018, where she earned a Bachelor’s of Music in Songwriting and Musical Theater Writing. While in school, she worked at Temple Shir Tikva in Wayland, MA, as the head songleader at the religious school and cantorial substitute on Kabbalat Shabbat Services. While at Temple Shir Tikva, she created a brand new T’filah program for ages 4-13, coordinated a teen “Jewish Jam Band” for ages 13-17, led the temple youth choir for ages 7-12, and built a repertoire of her original Jewish compositions that congregants of all ages have adopted as their own melodies. Lexi has also been a part of the larger Jewish music scene with her original Jewish compositions, which have featured on Jewish Rock Radio for years. She was a finalist and winner in the Jewish Rock Radio National Talent Search and has led many workshops on songleading techniques and Jewish songwriting. She is thrilled to be joining the LT community and looks forward to connecting with all of you!

Laura Schreiber

Director of Early Childhood Program


Laura grew up in Larchmont and is very excited to be back in her hometown! After graduating from Washington University in St. Louis, Laura earned a dual Master's Degree in Early Childhood General and Special Education from Bank Street College of Education. From 2006 to 2019, Laura was a kindergarten teacher at The Town School in NYC. In her time at Town, Laura also directed SummerSault, a camp for children ages 3 to 6, served on scheduling and faculty committees, and facilitated diversity workshops. Laura lives in Larchmont with her husband and son, She looks forward to meeting everyone and is excited to join such a warm and welcoming community! Lauren Binder

LTNS Interim Director, LTNS Associate Director


Lauren is thrilled to return to Larchmont Temple Nursery School for her second year as part of the LTNS team. Prior to teaching Kindergarten at LTNS last year, Lauren has served families in early childhood settings from NYC to California, working with children ages 0-7. Most recently, she taught at the Jewish Community Project Early Childhood Center in Manhattan from 2016-2021, where she also served as interim religious school director. Lauren earned a Masters of Science in Early Childhood General and Special Education from Bank Street College of Education, and holds undergraduate degrees from Columbia University and the Jewish Theological Seminary. A New Jersey native, Lauren loves music, traveling to new places, and is an avid reader and runner. Lauren lives in White Plains with her husband Adir and dog Louie. She has loved being a part of the LTNS community so far and can’t wait for the year ahead!

Shara Kimmel

Finance Manager


Shara Kimmel joined the finance team at Larchmont Temple in 2018. She is a CPA, starting her career in audit. For the last 12 years Shara was the Controller of a mid-sized digital marketing agency. As the Treasurer of Community Synagogue, where she is a member and sits on the board, she has a broad understanding of Temple finances, and looks forward to bringing that experience to the community of Larchmont Temple. She lives in Rye Brook with her husband, Michael, their two daughters, Rebecca and Abby, and their Yorkie-Poo, Augie. They are also very involved with Crane Lake Camp where Michael is on the board and their daughters have spent the last ten summers. Shara can be reached at skimmel@larchmonttemple.org
